SHOEBOXES FOR THE HOMELESS
SVDP will be distributing shoeboxes to the homeless who visit our store for assistance. How you can help? Simply fill a cardboard or plastic box with personal hygiene items such as: toothbrush, toothpaste, hand sanitizer, lip balm, shower soap or gel with washcloth, deodorant, sunscreen, lotion, comb, bandages, etc. As a special treat you may also include factory sealed snack items such as a protein bar or granola bar – perhaps a t-shirt or gift card for coffee or a meal (Dunkin’/McDonalds). Please include a Christmas card with an inspirational message. Secure the box with ribbon or tape. It is not required to be gender specific but if you prefer to do so, please tag the box “For A Man” or “For A Woman”. Boxes will be collected at the SVDP table outside the church main entrance at the 5:00 PM Mass on December 1st and from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM on December 2nd. You may also place your shoebox donation in the SVDP collection chest in the back of the church through Sunday, December 23rd. This year the shoeboxes will be distributed throughout the month of December as they are collected.

For more details, please stop by our table outside the church on Saturday, December 1st at the 5:00 PM Mass and Sunday, December 2nd from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
